The Rise of Socialism and the Rent Seeking Elite

“Learn to distinguish the difference between errors of knowledge and breaches of morality. An error of knowledge is not a moral flaw, provided you are willing to correct it; only a mystic would judge human beings by the standard of an impossible, automatic omniscience. But a breach of morality is the conscious choice of an action you know to be evil, or a willful evasion of knowledge, a suspension of sight and of thought. That which you do not know, is not a moral charge against you; but that which you refuse to know, is an account of infamy growing in your soul. Make every allowance for errors of knowledge; do not forgive or accept any break of morality.”      - Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

Fiat currencies and fractional banking cannot function in a true capitalist system.  Capitalism is the great promoter of competition and production, both of which are stifled under the non-productive and non-competitive manipulated systemic structures of a debt based economy.

Like to ancient monsters, fiat and fractional methodologies feed from each other to the detriment of the disorganized masses.

Fiat, the vacuum of wealth, is the necessary component of the fractional banking expansion of non-production.

Fractional banking, the act of expanding the money supply by leveraging debt for more debt, is the exterior skin which holds the ever increasing injection of fiat.

Both expand together until non-production reaches a critical stage.

Production is the only true measure of economic growth and stability.  Primitive man produced the means of survival with survival acting as the true measure of wealth.  The goal on an instinctual level has always been about survival.  And survival serves the larger esoteric act of creating opportunities of consciousness.

More on that in another post.

The metrics of survival were found in food hunting and gathering, food storage, water sources, and other knowledge based actualizations.

The actualizations were realized through patterns and processes.  The largest pattern which primitive man could observe and study was the rising and falling of the sun.

The sun, a great mystery to ancient man, was correctly determined to be the bringer of all life.  This is why the attributes of all monotheistic gods and the sun are one and the same.

As such, gold became the sun actualized upon the Earth and silver became the actualization of the moon.  Both precious metals were reckoned to be stable containers of survival actualized as wealth retention.  Wealth, as we've discussed previously, is human time and labor. Time and labor are the required components of survival.

It wasn't long before man's fall into consciousness brought about a realization of self.  This self, or separation of whole, soon devised methods of transferring the time and labor of others to their own storage containers of wealth.

The wealth storage containers mimicked  the patterns in nature to further develop sociological structures.  These tribal structures, rudimentary laws, were to orbit around the wealth containers, held in check by the gravity of the larger mass.

This was the first rent seeking, a method of ensuring survival from the time and labor of those disorganized within the world of matter.

A pattern which repeats since the beginning of human consciousness is one where the rent seeking elite pull more and more of the wealth within its body politic while the larger disorganized masses are left with ever decreasing means of survival.

The increase in survival means for the rent seeking elite leads to wastage.  This wastage slowly develops into all manner of cultural and sociological debasement.  Those at the top of the metaphorical food chain become lost to the world of matter and conscious awareness becomes trapped within the pleasure actualizations of the physical world.  The large disorganized masses, left with marginal means of survival, dream of winning the lottery and becoming one of the elite.  Both cannot escape the prison of the senses and it is soon forgotten that production is the true product of mans time and labor.  Wealth, being security of survival, no longer drifts upon the waves of the longing sun, but is now locked into the harvest of gold and silver, both of which bring us backward so we may move forward once again.

Since the esoteric sun is separated from the exoteric gold in the minds of man, conscious economics has no path home and the fall of man is complete.

  1. I know what you mean about busy this week but thank you for keeping us in your mind JC.

"Since the esoteric sun is separated from the exoteric gold in the minds of man, conscious economics has no path home and the fall of man is complete." What a cliffhanger ending.

The way you have meshed these subjects together is phenomenal, just phenomenal.

  2. Love your post, JC!

From nowhere, whispers appeared that with immense effort, an imposible realm was forged. A realm where illusion and truth would meet, mingle and fuse. 'Illusions can be lived as truth and truth can be held as illusion', the whispers promised. It was rumoured to be the epitomy of magnificence and mystery.

Still to this day, Nobody, within or outside of this realm, knows whether it truly exitsts or is just an illusion.

    🙂

  3. You cannot tell me these Crony Congress people are not Insider trading their own legislation that is Lobbied for by the Crony Lobbyists that in turn lobby for the kind of tax system we have today for the Fascist billionaires that rule the international market system and are causing a defection of the dollar as worlds trade currency to rise up by the BRICS producers these billionaires have out sourced all of everyone in the western nations work away leaving we the people all dependent on our Crony Government for a handout , !!!!!!
I mean these Cronies even reversed the Legislation they passed to keep them from Insider trading for Crying Out Loud !!!!!!!!!!

The Only way to stop this Madness is with Economic Individual Freedom , and with this election year coming on fast we the people need to Insist that whoever is running needs to BE FOR A FLAT TAX SYSTEM , then we the people can regain our FREEDOM from this Tyranny !!!!!!
Get this going NOW and watch these CRONY Politicians SQUIRM !!!!!

    1. I can’t say that I disagree with you on any particular part n3angus. But I would ask this. Where these “Cronies” voted in officials? If so did “we the people” vote them in?

I’m not too sure if I understood this part “The Only way to stop this Madness is with Economic Individual Freedom , and with this election year coming on fast we the people need to Insist that whoever is running needs to BE FOR A FLAT TAX SYSTEM”
Wouldn't economic individual freedom and a flat tax system be contradictory of each other? Perhaps I read it wrong and you meant equal taxes across all levels of income?

I am finding that we ALL have freedom in abundance within ourselves; we just need to find it and it appears to be different for each one of us.

      1. Yes I think we are on the same page. You believe everyone should pay the same....% say no matter how much they make, I would agree with that.
However it is not quite that simple. What we suggest above is "people".

What about corporations, trusts, dividends and the like.

In the last presidential run Romney said publically that he only paid 15% and that was because he does not earn a salary, he lives off of dividends. So the new legislation would have to some how account for those disparities as well.

I read somewhere an idea of a no income tax but a federal tax on goods purchases and luxury purchases. It didn't sound like a bad idea but I couldn't figure out how to handle a bartering situation, or gift in exchange for publicity and such.

One thing for sure. Its a complex monster.

    1. I used to wait for them to visit but got bored while waiting. So I began to explore the inner realms of myself and I am finding it so wondrous that I have forgotten what I was waiting for.

  4. JC, you never disappoint. If I may, I'd like to add a new wrinkle to this post. The theme that Man has always had to survive or hunt, gather, or form tribes in order to insure ones' survival is a theme that was handed down to us through the same mechanisms that has handed us everything else. Sure there is scientific "evidence" supporting that claim. Science, or at the modern version of it, is but another form of religion presented by the same priestly class of original rent seekers that has given us "all we know". Accept only as it is presented or else be labeled something akin to the Church of old's label of heretic.

I am not suggesting man never hunted, gathered, or formed tribes. It is obvious Man did, but the story never goes back any further. Before that we are told man was something akin to an ape or caveman. Since I was not present to confirm the experience, I cannot say for sure, but I do know it has never resonated with me.

Enter the "Anastasia Material". I have brought these books up once before, but again, I can't think of any more related or important sources of information for people, especially folks at this blog, to read. Anastasia presents a different take of the history of Man and it does not fit with the compartmentalized dogmatic doctrines of "modern science".

Perhaps there was a time where Man was far more advanced than now. I don't mean in a technological sense (but perhaps there too), I mean in a "whole Man" kind of way. Perhaps there was a time where Man understood his/her purpose in the world, and rather than see the physical world as some kind of illusory "trap" that had to be ascended from, it was viewed as an opportunity to co-create in exactly the same way utilizing the same systems of the One creator. Obviously, I wasn't there to experience that either, but that version strikes a cord deep within that I have learned not to shy away from.

If science has proven anything to me, it's that it is no different, no less corrupt, its' message no less controlled than anything else presented to we divided masses as "fact". One need look no further than Walter Russel, Nikola Tesla, or Viktor Shauberger for proof of how science ignored things contradicting their accepted dogmas despite these men using the same methods to come to their conclusions.

I am inclined to believe it was the original priestly class of rent seekers that introduced the concept of "precious metals" as a means of preserving wealth. Maybe it was visitors who gave it to them, maybe not. Despite myself having zero doubt that "visitors" exist or that they have interacted with humans, I can't give them credit for corrupting humanity. That lays squarely in the lap of other humans in my humble opinion.

I hope this is not perceived as a slight or challenge, as this is not my intention. Just an alternative perspective

    1. “If science has proven anything to me, it’s that it is no different, no less corrupt, its’ message no less controlled than anything else presented to we divided masses as “fact”. One need look no further than Walter Russel, Nikola Tesla, or Viktor Shauberger for proof of how science ignored things contradicting their accepted dogmas despite these men using the same methods to come to their conclusions.”

I have a bit of a different angle on this in that “evil men” have used science in such a way it has instilled this belief in us. The science itself really just puts tangible reasons for something happening that we already see happening. Science does seem to find its way into corrupt “men’s” hands way too often though.

“Perhaps there was a time where Man was far more advanced than now. I don’t mean in a technological sense (but perhaps there too), I mean in a “whole Man” kind of way. I have a similar internal yearning as what you state here Jeremy. Unfortunately “man” keeps getting in the way.

Did you see the new Google Doodle for today it is depicting man and nature together? Thought it might be right up your alley.

“For our 7th annual Doodle 4 Google competition, we asked kids, grades K-12, to draw an invention that would make the world a better place. Out of more than 100,000 submissions, 250 state finalists, 50 state winners, and 5 national age group winners, we are excited to present the 2014 Doodle 4 Google winner: 11-year old Audrey Zhang of New York!”

      1. "man keeps getting in the way"

Simply and beautifully stated, and oh, so, painfully true. The micro pattern within my own life amongst those who claim to "love me and only want the best" are the ones most often erecting the roadblocks I spend the most time over-coming. Yet this is no different from the macro pattern and so it seems the only way I can change the world is to keep working on the one in "my own back yard".

  5. Mr Collins:

Your brief article is the most clearly and succinctly written summary of the historyical challenges concerning the slow evolution of human consciousness versus the baser characteristic of the selfish nature of the rent seeking elitesthat I have read to date. Very well done. Kindly continue the quite fine, productive, and useful labor. Thank you.

  6. This Is Why I Believe Rickards Is Wrong About The IMF SDR
June 7, 2014Financial MarketsBRICS, China, IMF SDR, reserve currency, Russia
James Rickards has been quite vocal in his view that the price of gold is headed much higher. Yet, in the same breath he aggressively promotes the idea of using the IMF SDR to replace the dollar as the world’s reserve currency.

There’s two reasons for this. First, if you study Rickard’s background going all the way back to his role in the Iran hostage crisis, you’ll see that he’s been lifetime “front man” for the most powerful interest groups that control this country behind the scenes. First and foremost he’s a front-man for the Pentagon.

I’ve been told separately, independently from two different sources that the elite insiders in the Department of Defense know that the demise of the dollar is inevitable. That there’s nothing that can be done to prevent it.

Which brings us to the second reason that Rickards is trying to pimp the IMF SDR like a magic elixir snake-oil salesman. The U.S. dollar currently represents 61.2% of the IMF SDR: SDR Currency Basket.

If the U.S. Government can persuade the world to accept the IMF SDR as a replacement for the dollar, the U.S. Government will still have de facto control over the world’s reserve currency and therefore can continue to defer the systemic collapse of the U.S. into the future. Please note the absence of Chinese yuan or Russian rubles from the IMF SDR basket.

I have always believed that China and Russia would never accept an IMF SDR as the global reserve currency, even if the U.S. and EU were willing to put those two respective currencies in the basket. The biggest clue for me has been the rate at which both China and Russia are accumulating gold in their currency reserve accounts and working to eliminate the use of the dollar in their trade agreements.

But this article, reinforces my view – BRICS To Form Their Own “IMF:”

The BRICS nations — Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa — are reportedly close to finalizing their long-awaited development bank and currency reserve, each valued at $100 billion, in what has been billed as a historic challenge by the world’s emerging economies to a global financial architecture that has been dominated by the U.S. and Western Europe since its post–World War II inception.

The BRICS nations first announced their plans for the bank in March 2013 but struggled to reach an agreement over China’s desire to hold a greater stake in the institution. But a Brazilian government official told Reuters last week that the five members were ready to split funding and control equally, clearing the last major hurdle for a launch in 2016.

To economists in the developing world, who have long criticized the World Bank and IMF as anathema to the countries they purport to help, the New Development Bank holds tremendous promise. Critics say the West has taken advantage of its monopoly in international lending to wield outsize influence in the economic and political affairs of developing countries, dictating development models that further entrench these countries’ subservience to the West.

But unlike the U.S. and Europe, who are in lockstep on most things, the BRICS countries have little in common but a shared ambition to rebalance the global economic order.

I would suggest that anyone who wants to see the issues clearly should place a little less “faith” in the information being disseminated by people like Jim Rickards. I would also suggest that the unwillingness of Russia/China to cooperate with the U.S. on the matter of the U.S. dollar is the reason recent military aggression by the U.S. toward Russia and China…

  7. @tyberious:

I know what you mean about Rickards. I often turn my sixth sense on when listening (or reading) analysts, and there's something very creepy about the way he talks, and the speed with which he talks - it doesn't come across as sincere or honest.

JR just announces blithely that the IMF is the only one with a clear balance sheet - what the heck does that mean? The IMF is not a sovereign nation, it is not a democratic institution, it should not be able to make or break the economies of nations, as it has been doing for 50 years.

I have doubts about the BRICS development Bank too, and about who actually runs China, Russia, Gazprom and Rosneft (looks so far like the same bunch of Bankers, but I haven't had time to research as much as I'd like) but I sincerely hope that with the fragmentation of the accepted norms to date, something healthier and more egalitarian may emerge, although I'm sure it will take us some time to get there.

The healthy thing is that more and more people are starting to realise what the heck is going on, which is just great!

  8. The Madness Of Crowds And The Great Insanity

"The central banks have created moral hazard on a scale which is simply unbelievable and set a stage for a bonfire of the vanities seldom, if ever, seen in history. In fact, nothing I can see rivals it.

The USEFUL idiots as Lenin called them have no ability to think, manufactured by public school monopolies (which I call indoctrination/brain washing centers) and told they have been born with the right to all of their basic needs provided by the government:

“It is not an endlessly expanding list of rights —the “right” to an education; the “right” to health care; the “right” to food and housing. That is not freedom. That is dependency. Those are not rights. Those are the rations of slavery – hay and a barn for human cattle.”

    - Alexis de Tocqueville

They believe the impossible dream that they have the right to live their lives at the expense of others and will vote for the people that tell them this is so and use a government gun to make it happen. Most of society today does not know: where money comes from, what it is or isn’t in a historical or practical sense, how wealth is created, the virtues of capitalism and wealth creation, why it’s important to stay debt free and live within your means, why they should work hard and never give up, why save money, why it’s important to be self-reliant, what the constitution is and why it’s important to protect our freedom and future, nor economics of any sort but socialism and Keynesianism (central government control of all aspects of life also known as Marxism).

In my estimation this means they are functionally ILLITERATE to life’s basic requirements to grow and thrive as a human in society. They couldn’t be less prepared to meet life’s challenges. The school systems are designed to create peasants and serfs to socialism. Not educated, self-reliant and independent citizens. Prior generations such as mine where taught all these things. We want it restored, and now are labeled extremists and terrorists for insisting on it. This teaching of socialism labeled democracy has led to very destructive behavior:"

Democratic institutions awaken and foster a passion for equality which they can never entirely satisfy. This complete equality eludes the grasp of the people at the very moment they think that they have grasped it… the people are excited in the pursuit of an advantage, which is more precious because it is not sufficiently near to be enjoyed. Democratic institutions strongly tend to promote the feeling of envy. A depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak attempt to lower the powerful to their own level and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.

    - Alexis de Tocqueville, 1825

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-06-07/madness-crowds-and-great-insanity

    1. "...the greatest top in economic activity and leverage in human history has been in the making since 2000. When the leverage FAILS, the world’s developed economies will be thrust into the next leg of the cleansing process of deleveraging which began in 2000, made another top in 2008 and now this time. The leverage is far greater now than it was at the 2000, and the 2007/2008 highs. The destruction of it will be equally bigger. The world has slipped below the proverbial event horizon of a Black hole, slipping closer and closer to the final denouement of the insanity running amok today.

Then, we will have a time of great economic and social turmoil as what has gone before slides to its doom. Then, a great reformation will emerge just as it did in China after the cultural revolution failed in 1976 and then with Deng Xiaoping in 1989 when he said “to get rich is glorious” and he unleashed the human spirit in China and wealth creation exploded. Don’t you think similar epiphany’s lie in the future after the socialist welfare states of the world collapse?

“Political ideas that have dominated the public mind for decades cannot be refuted through rational arguments, they must run their course in life and cannot collapse otherwise than in great catastrophe.”

      - Ludwig Von Mises

This conclusion is firmly on the horizon; let’s call it the great INSANITY. I believe this version is the greatest in history and will be written about for centuries. Those that forget history are doomed to repeat it and this time is no different. However, there is always great opportunity with great danger as the greatest transfer of wealth from these that hold it in paper to those that don’t is underway and there is nothing that can stop it. The sociopaths and elites have no ability to turn the ship of states around as their policies have created the collapse. While this is a manmade disaster, it is most definitely the greatest opportunity in history for those that see it and adjust their behavior accordingly. Don’t ever forget, THEY WILL PRINT THE MONEY!"

  9. Falling quite behind in checking in here, I'll keep it simple & relatively brief.

"The sun, a great mystery to ancient man, was correctly determined to be the bringer of all life. This is why the attributes of all monotheistic gods and the sun are one and the same."

Although this may be the thinking of some who have written about & opposed the God of the Jewish Scriptures, it is hardly the accurate scriptural analysis of this God per those Scriptures & a multitude of their exegetical interpreters. Writing such statements as an absolute is uninformed & easily rectified by one who might care how he represents things.

Most of the rest - the philosophy & speculation - is always intriguing. As is the philosophy of those who have worked in the above mentioned Scriptures over millennia of deeply committed effort, and thus easily set to rest such mistaken absolute statements as quoted above.

    1. Of course, because scripture is the only source of ancient wisdom for man. Scripture is simply a further corruption of even older stories. No where in this post, or any post for that matter, do I make reference to scripture. So your inclusion of it here and leverage you attempt to gain with it is telling of your own filters and projections. Perhaps your contentions would be better served elsewhere.
