Does Evil Know it is Evil?

A Hidden Secret of the Ancient Mystery Schools

Does evil know it is evil? This is an interesting question which is relevant to some of the broader conversations and topics which take place here on Philosophy of Metrics. Sitting around this weekend Marianne and I had this conversation. We both determined that the answer is no. Evil does not know it is evil. For the most part that is.

But before getting into why we came to that conclusion let’s attempt to create a common understanding, or definition, of what evil is. This isn’t as easy as one would think. Everyone has their own pre-conceived definition of evil and those who commit evil acts. Very few of us would consider ourselves to be evil, but yet are quick to point out that someone else, or the actions of someone else, are indeed evil.

You Are Living in a Ritual

A Liberal Fraud and Swindle

Moral relativism would have us believe that there is no right and wrong from which we can judge and predict behaviour. It is for the most part the cultural extension of the Aleister Crowley “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law” dictum which has infected the whole of Western culture.

Crowley didn’t invent moral relativism but did put it to good use in his contributions to the engineering of pop culture through the practise of his mental hypnotic “Magick”. Thelema, as it was called, used the term “Magick” to display and differentiate its interpretation of the occult from stage magic. It was defined as “the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will.” This included the use of ritual magic, which we see on brazen display in our movies , music videos, and live performance shows.

The Ends of the Earth

Esoteric, FREEPOM9 Comments

There are secret pathways upon the Earth.

Child, look to the North and you will see the place from which we have entered and may one day leave again.

Alone these paths must be walked and whoever does so shall overcome.

To the East there is another path which runs through all the doorways which are still closed to you.

On September 30, 1791, just two months before his death, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart premiered his great mystery play The Magic Flute in Vienna. It was the culmination of a life’s work and represented one of the most allegorical examples of the “path of toil that unto wisdom leadeth”.

Mozart attempted to capture the great secret of life and what it is. Whether he was successful or not will be determined by the ultimate end of mankind and the Earth within which he learns.

Understanding the Masonic Pillars of Boaz and Jachin

The wilderness calls forth the mysterious challenge upon which the weight of the world rests its hopes and dreams. The Hebrews were lost in the wilderness for a longtime. Within its rankness and thickness the hopeless wander in savage and stupefied abandon. There is but one path which leads out of the wilderness. This path is seldom discovered and even less seldom traveled by the weighted and weary.

The wilderness has mineral, vegetable and animal parts. Man, the personification of the wilderness, is the physical accumulation of mineral, vegetable and animal. It is in our blood and kidney’s. It is in the plant like nature of our circulatory and nervous systems. It is the meat of our flesh and the marrow of our bones.

Fragmentation in Pursuit of Self-Preservation

This article was originally posted on October 8, 2014.

“He is led by an invisible hand to promote an end which was no part of his intention.” – Adam Smith, An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations, 1776

On March 9, 1776, the book titled The Wealth of Nations, a compilation of economic essays by Adam Smith, was published. This was in the early days of the American War for Independence and the air was full of hope and transformation. On May 1 of the same year the secret society known as the Illuminati was founded by Adam Weishaupt.

And later that year, in December, Thomas Paine writes the now famous line in which in which he states:

“These are the times that try men’s souls.”

When we reflect from our vantage point today do we find that the times are any different? The souls of men are still being challenged and invisible hands still appear to be guiding events in the direction that the majority do not wish to be moving. Secret societies are still in the background manipulating the disorganized masses, as can be attested too by the overwhelming masonic symbolism in our socioeconomic environment, and the world stands on the cusp of a constant revolution. A revolution which never seems to materialize.

The Lodge System is Broken and Needs a Philosophical Renewal

By JC Collins

The much studied transformation from Operative Masonry to Speculative Masonry in the 16th Century should hardly be referenced as a “reformation” in the traditional sense of the word. It was more of the assimilation between parallel and complimentary centralized governing mandates which were meant to spread the ideals and advantages of a self-professed system of fabricated elitism.

The Philosophical Politics of a New Republic

Bringing the Just Man Back into World Politics

By JC Collins

“Until political power and philosophy entirely coincide… cities will have no rest from evils,… nor, I think, will the human race.”
(Plato, the Republic 473c-d)

The “Just Man” was a core theme of the Republic, a series of dialogues written by Plato in 380BCE. Book two of those writings puts forward the suggestion that the “Just Man” who is considered by the world to be “Unjust” is in fact more fulfilled and living in alignment with wisdom than the “Unjust Man” who is considered by the world to be a “Just Man”.

It is in essence a debate between whether the “Unjust” life is better than the “Just” life or vice versa. It was argued that the only reason men would be just is because they are afraid of the costs and punishment of not being just. Injustice with impunity was presented as the case for the “Unjust Man” to be happier than the “Just Man” because the “Unjust Man”, through acts of injustice, could obtain riches and favor in the world which the “Just Man” could not do while in service to justice.

“Ending this war in Gaza begins with recognizing Hamas as a legitimate political actor” – Jimmy Carter writing for Foreign Policy on August 4, 2014.

The theme of an Antichrist and false messiah (anti-messiah) is one that runs through all the religions and belief systems of the world. The western Christian world is well-versed on this figure and his evil rise to power as foretold in the Bible and subsequent prophecy. But what we don’t understand is that this figure is also represented in all the religions and cultures around the world, and has been for a very long time.

The Madness of Me

This is random and not about much of anything. It’s what happens when I’m left alone with too much time on my hands.

Being off now for the holidays I find myself staring at our dog Dexter and telling him things which he cares little about. All three of my adult sons no longer live with me, and Marianne has wandered off to Vancouver to see her family until the morning of the 25th. This means I’m alone with Dexter for the next three days until my parents and brother arrive in Edmonton to hang for the Christmas vacation and the boys show up.

We Are the Builders of Civilization

With Christmas fast approaching it’s worth our time to consider the philosophical order which is building within each one of us. This order is structured around the self-management of the human condition. The existing condition of the human being is faced with multiple challenges which need to be overcome within before the outside world can be re-directed upon the path of rightness. Until this is achieved the human race will be managed by varying forms of governance which are built around idealism.
